Chandigarh, November 11: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Monohar Lal visited Pinjore's 'Kamdhenu Gaushala Sewa Sadan' on the auspicious occasion of 'Gopashtami'.
During the visit Sh. Manohar Lal paid obeisance in the temple situated in the Gaushala and after that he met the representatives and scientists of GADVASU, Ludhiana who are researching on Embryo Transplantation and manures extracted from the waste of indigenous cows. Embryo Transplantation has been a revolutionary step towards improving the cows condition and significantly enhanced the milking capacity.
Sh. Manohar Lal also visited the Gaushala's inhouse 'Arkshala' where processing of organic products derived from cow dung was being done. Products such as organic phenyl, gauark, tulsi ark and giloy ark are being manufactured which are sold and exported in the open market. He also inspected the packaging process of indigenous cow milk in glass bottles. He appreciated the efforts of Gaushala towards the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and said that gaushala has set an example in creating financial independence through own limited resources.
While addressing the event Sh. Manohar extended warm wishes on the occasion of 'Gopashtami'. He said that milk of indigenous cows comprises a lot of Nutritional value. The organic products made from the residues of cow dung have lot of potential which are even supported by scientific evidence. He added that organic DAP has the potential to revolutionise the Indian farming system.
Haryana Government has worked strenuously in uplifting the conditions of Gaushalas and cows. Provision has also been made where 10 years imprisonment and fine of Rs. 1 Lakh has been imposed for serious crime against cows. Cows Task Force Committee has also been constituted. In order to reduce the operational cost of gaushalas Rs. 2/- per unit has been reduced in the electricity bills. The annual budget has been increased from Rs. 30 crore to Rs. 50 crore for Haryana Gauvansh Anusandhan Kendra. In which Rs 30 crore has been utilised for fodder and Rs 20 crore for developing infrastructure. He added that under Gaushala Jagmag Scheme, solar plants are being installed for uninterrupted power supply in which solar plants have been installed in 330 Gaushalas and we are moving at a accelerated pace to cover more Gaushalas under this scheme. Provision has been made for long lease to open new Gaushala under which Rs. 1000/- per acre is being given. He added that the state government is working towards certifying such organic products which can be distributed and exported in the open market. Such manufacturing set up will be established in 6 districts where provision of Rs. 5 crore will be made to promote such initiatives.
Chief Minister announced Rs. 21 Lakh to the Kamdhenu Gaushala Sewa Sadan Pinjore and Member of Parliament, Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria also contributed Rs. 11 Lakh on the occasion of Gopashtami.
On this occasion Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal, Former Union Minister of State, Sh. Rattan Lal Kataria, Former MLA, Kalka, Smt. Latika Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Sh. Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogendra Chaudhary were present.
