Chandigarh, November 4 - After the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel by the Central Government, Haryana Government has also decided to reduce the rates of value-added tax (VAT) on diesel and petrol in the state.
Giving information in this regard, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that due to the reduction in VAT rates by the State Government, the prices of both petrol and diesel have reduced by Rs 12 per litre.
Sharing information about the reduction in VAT, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal tweeted that on the occasion of Diwali, the Central Government has announced reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel. Considering it further, the Haryana Government has also reduced VAT on petrol and diesel in the state. Now the price of both petrol and diesel will get reduced by Rs 12 per litre in the entire Haryana state.
Notably, a day before Diwali, the Central Government slashed excise duties on petrol and diesel by Rs 5 and Rs 10 per litre respectively. After the decision of the Central Government, this decision of the Haryana Government has extended this relief to the public.
