Chandigarh, November 2 - Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today has given approval to the Policy for issue and utilization of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) for land aggregation and development of External Development Works and infrastructure in the development plan area.
The Council of Ministers in its meeting held on June 25, 2018 approved the draft policy dated July 1, 2019 for the purpose of inviting responses/suggestions from general public and stakeholders, before its finalization.
The objections/suggestions received upto August 30, 2019 and were examined by the Department and accordingly, after consultation with stakeholders held on January 14, 2020, the policy of TDR was suitably amended for obtaining approval in the ensuing CMM. Thereafter, the agenda for approval of proposed TDR Policy was placed before the Council of Ministers in the meeting held on August 5, 2021.
However, the agenda was deferred after deliberations including minimum area norms for Sectoral Plan Road Pockets (SPRP) and Sector Roads & Green Belts (SRGB). Based on such deliberation, now the minimum area norm for TDR application against SPRP and SRGB land pockets is removed. Accordingly, the requisite amendment has been incorporated.
