Chandigarh, November 2: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today gave approval to a proposal regarding amendments in Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service Rules, 1993 and Haryana Agricultural (Group B) Service Rules, 1995 of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department.

Now these rules may be called Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2021 and Haryana Agricultural (Group B) Service (Amendment) Rules, 2021.

As per the Amendment in rule 5 of the Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service Rules, 1993, in rule 5, for the words and sign "seventeen" and "thirty-five", the words and sign "eighteen and "forty-two" shall respectively be substituted.

In rule 5 of the Haryana Agricultural (Group B) Service Rules, 1995, in rule 5, for the words and sign "21" and "35", the words and sign "eighteen" and 'forty-two" shall respectively be substituted.

At present the following provision in respect of Age is notified in Rule 5 of Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service Rules, 1993, no person shall be appointed to any post in the service by direct recruitment who is less than seventeen years or more than thirty five years of age on or before the 1st day of the month next preceding the last date of submission of application to the Board.

At present the following provision in respect of Age is notified in Rule 5 of Haryana Agricultural (Group B) Service Rules, 1995: ‑

"No person shall be appointed to the post in the service by direct recruitment who is less than 21 years or more than 35 years of age, on or before the 1st day of the month next preceding the last date of submission of application to the Commission."

However, Chief Secretary has decided that the minimum Age of a person for entry into Government Service shall be 18 years and maximum age shall be 42 years in respect of the posts of all Groups A, B, C & D in addition to the age relaxation prescribed herein for various categories. Accordingly, the amendment in rule 5 of the Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service Rules, 1993 has been made.

Accordingly, required amendments in Haryana Subordinate Agricultural (Group C) Service Rules, 1993, and Haryana Agricultural (Group B) Service Rules, 1995 has been made.
