Chandigarh, November 2: In a bid to ensure smooth work assessment being carried out by the Staff Inspection Unit of Administrative Reforms Department, Haryana Government which met under the Chairmanship of Sh. Manohar Lal here today accorded approval to a proposal regarding creation of ‘Work Assessment Norms’ for work assessment of an Assistant and a Branch and ‘Staffing Policy’ for all Government Offices in the State.
Formulation of Work Assessment Norms and proforma to conduct work-study for each Department in the State would be done by the Staff Inspection Unit of Administrative Reforms Department.
The formulation of ‘Staffing Policy’ will fix criteria to create new post(s) of Officer(s) and official(s) for Haryana Government offices in the State.
The criteria for recommendations, in order to provide Officer(s) and Official(s) for a newly created Branch/ Department at initial stage.
An empowered committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary, will be constituted to ensure implementation of recommendations of SIU and to monitor and review the working of Government Department in the State by arranging periodical assessment of the working of all of the Departments in State, with a view of ensure, their most economical and effective functioning.
The creation of ‘Work Assessment Norms’ for work assessment of an Assistant and a Branch and ‘Staffing Policy’ will give suitable directions and advice to the Departments for the implementation of the recommendations of the Committee.
This will further create an effective Branch, Cadre of specialists for providing proper guidance and assistance to the Departments in the concerned matter and give advice to State Government regarding any other aspect of the functioning of the Departments in the State.
Therefore To conduct work study, norms of Work Assessment; and for new posts, Staffing Pattern Policy is required to be notified by the State.
