Chandigarh, September 22- Haryana Government will also start 'Krishna-Utsav' in the state on the lines of Gita Mahotsav with a view to promote tourism in the state, in which life events of Shri Krishna will be presented in an enchanting manner with the help of tableaux, music, dance and modern technology.
A meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today to prepare the outline of this festival. Haryana's Education, Tourism, Art and Culture Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal was also present during the meeting.
Regarding the programme related to 'Krishna-Utsav', the Chief Minister directed that just as Surajkund International Handicraft Fair in Faridabad district and Gita Mahotsav of Kurukshetra have special importance at national and international level, similarly the proposed 'Krishna-Utsav' has special significance and should be organized accordingly. He said that Lord Krishna has a special relation with the land of Haryana. In Kurukshetra he gave the celestial message of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita to Arjuna in which the importance of action was emphasized.
It was informed during the meeting that the description of various forms of Lord Shri Krishna will be shown at the 'Krishna-Utsav'. Bal Leela to Rasleela; the personality of Lord Krishna as that of an ordinary human, king and Karma Yogi etc. will be depicted. Krishna’s avatar through tableaux and his rasleela and musical art will be displayed through the theater during this festival. The story of Bal Gopal will be described through storytelling. The role of Shri Krishna in the Mahabharata will be shown through modern technology. Not only this, people will be able to witness live arti of all the famous temples of Lord Krishna across the country during the Utsav.
However, the manner in which the state government is making preparations for the grand event of this 'Krishna-Utsav', it is clearly evident that like the Gita Mahotsav, this festival will promote religious tourism as well as general tourism in Haryana.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. DS Dhesi, Advisor, Resource Mobilization Cell, Sh. Yogender Chaudhry, Principal Secretary, Art and Cultural Department, Sh. D. Suresh and other senior officers were also present during the meeting.
