Chandigarh, August 5: Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal here today gave Ex-post facto approval to a proposal regarding to grant extension in service in respect of the employees of four departments for a period of one month who was going to retire on April 30, 2021, on attaining the age of superannuation in view of the emergent situation arising out of COVID-19 Pandemic.
The employees of the four departments namely Revenue and Disaster Management Department (for the rank of DRO, Tehsildar or below), Medical Education and Research Department, Health and Family Welfare Department including State Medical College and State Medical Universities and Development and Panchayats Department (for the rank of DDPO and BDPO) worked day and night at the frontline of the war against COVID-19 in providing medical facilities and essential and equipment during this situation. Therefore the decision to grant extension is taken in the public interest.
The approval has been given in terms of Provisions contained in Rule-143 of Haryana Civil Services (General) Rules, 2016 and under Sr. No. 17 of the Schedule-I appended to the Rules of Business of the Haryana Government of 1977 for consideration and ex-post facto approval regarding granting extension in service in respect of the employees of these four departments for a period of one month who were going to retire on April 30, 2021.
