Chandigarh, July 27: The Central Government has accorded approval for the Karnal-Yamunanagar railway line to be built along Western Yamuna Canal in Haryana. Besides this, the elevated railway track to be built in Kaithal has also been approved
Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal shared this information while interacting with the media after meeting with the Union Railway Minister, Sh. Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi today.
The Chief Minister has been holding constant meetings with the Railway Minister for a long time to expedite several important works about railway projects of Haryana.
Later, interacting with reporters, the Chief Minister said that the Central Government has approved the Karnal-Yamunanagar railway line to be built along the Western Yamuna Canal in Haryana.
The construction along the Western Yamuna Canal will also reduce the cost of construction of the Karnal-Yamunanagar Railroad by about Rs 400 crore, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Besides this, like the elevated railway track in Rohtak and Kurukshetra, the central Government has also accorded approval for the elevated railway track to be constructed in Kaithal.
The Chief Minister said that the process of the Delhi-Hisar (180 km per hour capacity) railway project will also be accelerated by the Centre. This railroad project will also give impetus to the development of the Civil Aviation Hub of Hisar.
He said that the laying of the foundation stone of 121.7 km long Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi was also discussed in the meeting.
Union Railway Minister and the Chief Minister would be requesting the Prime Minister for attending the foundation stone programme.
