Chandigarh, June 20 - In order to promote exciting tourism activities in the state, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal took part in the task of encouraging people to try adventure sports in Tikkartal area near Morni Hills today. He said that these adventure activities being organized in Tikkartal are safe as he himself has participated in these activities today which also attracted him.
As part of the exciting activities in Tikkartal, adventure sports like paragliding, water sports activity, roller zorbing, e-hydrofoil, jet scooter, para sailing and trekking will be started soon.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, first of all enjoyed and experienced the Water Motor Scooter (also known as Jet Scooter) at Tikkartal. The Chief Minister first took a ride on the Jet Scooter and after that got some tips from the Jet Scooter driver and then himself rode the Jet Scooter. The Chief Minister shared that he has driven Jet scooter for the first time in his life.
After this, the Chief Minister experienced the sport of motor gliding and enjoyed himself. Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Tourism Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister of State, Sh. Sandeep Singh also enjoyed motor gliding.
After this, the Chief Minister also took a ride in a hot-air balloon and during this, he shook hands and accepted the greetings of the surrounding villagers and the people present. The sport of boat rowing was also conducted in the presence of the Chief Minister, and he also interacted with rowing sailors. Boat rowing is a popular sport in Kerala and now this sport will be seen and experienced by the visitors coming to Tikkartal as well.
The Haryana Government is committed to develop and make Panchkula, situated amidst these Shivalik hills falling in Haryana, as a tourist hub, and now the people of the congested cities of Delhi NCR along with Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali will be able to visit Morni Hills over the weekend. Today, inspection and trials have been conducted for the start of these adventure games and now the work will be done to start them soon.
The Chief Minister today inaugurated Panchkarma Wellness Center at Thapli in the hills of Morni Hills as well. With the launch of this centre, people will be able to relieve their stress. 12 huts will be built in this centre. Apart from this, these Panchakarma centres will also be developed on the lines of Kerala and Delhi. Work will also be done to provide high level health services in these centres so that people can get treatment with Panchakarma technique.
Today, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Nakshatra Vatika, Rashi Van, Sugandh Vatika in Thapli area of Morni and also inaugurated the Nature Track. After this, the Chief Minister also flagged off a group of children for a small trek from Thapli Nature Camp to Thapli village.
