Chandigarh May 26 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that social organizations have a wider scope and these organizations believe in working ahead with body, mind and wealth during the time of any calamity. He said that activities performed by social institutions during the global pandemic have been inspirational.
The Chief Minister was interacting with representatives of more than 30 self-help organizations, social organizations, IMA, Members of Trade Union, Karnal through video conferencing today. Member of Parliament (MP), Sh. Sanjay Bhatia, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Sh. Ram Kumar Kashyap, Sh. Dharma Pal Gondar and Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Nishant Yadav and officials of the district administration also joined the video conference.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated ECMO (Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation) machine, 10 MT Medical Oxygen Storage Tank and Jetting Cum Suction machine for cleaning purposes at Kalpana Chawla Medical College through video conferencing.
He said that Karna-Bhoomi is a symbol of service. He urged that the citizens should come forward and extend their cooperation to social institutions during the hour of need. He congratulated the Social Organizations offering their services for the noble cause.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that offering services like oxygen, providing food and holding counselling leads to self-satisfaction which further benefits the needy people in the society. While citing an example of the first Guru of Sikhs, Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s saying i.e ‘Bhul Chuk Muaf’, he said that one should always offer services for some noble cause.
The Chief Minister said that ECMO (Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation) machine can be used for critically suffering COVID-19 patients. This machine can be used to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients whose lungs are damaged and require ventilator support during their treatment.
The Chief Minister said that 20 MT storage capacity tank has been created in the district with the additional oxygen tank. PGI, Rohtak has an arrangement of around 30 MT oxygen storage tank. He said that the Government has been focusing on arranging oxygen storage at places like Gurugram, Faridabad so that it can be availed easily during an emergency. He said that only big plants of Panipat and Hisar have production and storage capacity.
The Chief Minister said that the suggestions raised by the Social organizations would be considered and implemented by the Government. He said that banks of oxygen concentrators should be set up across the State. He said that once after the use of medical equipments, it should be supplied to other critical patients.
