Chandigarh, May 2 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today said that the state government has decided to impose a lockdown from May 3 to May 9, 2021 so as to contain the spread of Corona virus.
He shared this during an interaction with mediapersons after chairing a meeting of officers in Sirsa.
Earlier, the Chief Minister took information about the arrangements being made to curb the spread of Corona virus in Sirsa district and also gave necessary guidelines in this regard. In the meeting, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh and other officers, including Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Pradeep Kumar, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Bhupendra Singh were also present. The Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to refrain from creating an atmosphere of panic urged them to instead play a positive role in this fight against Corona virus. He said that we should move forward with the thought 'Jaan Hai Toh Jahan Hai' and continue this fight against Corona virus.
While responding to questions asked about the Review Meeting on the status of Corona, the Chief Minister said that the authorities concerned have been instructed to make additional arrangements for beds and other facilities according to Corona spread. He said that there is no shortage of oxygen in the state for COVID-19 patients and now the oxygen quota has also been enhanced in Sirsa district. He said that with an aim to contain the spread of the Corona virus arrangements are being reviewed by visiting every district by the state government. Besides this, feedback of every member of the team constituted at the district level is being taken and the shortcomings are being rectified. The Chief Minister appealed to the people saying that they have to protect themselves from the Corona virus and ensure the safety of others as well.
