Chandigarh, April, 19: An MoU was signed between Gurugram Municipal Corporation and Hero MotoCorp in Gurugram for the maintenance and development of Bio Diversity Park in Gurugram in the virtual presence of Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on Monday. During this meeting, the Chief Minister also dedicated three projects developed from CSR Fund to the public. Sh. Manohar Lal was chairing the meeting of Haryana State CSR Trust from Chandigarh through video conferencing .
The Chief Minister said that some matters emerge according to the need of the hour. CSR funds should be used for such matters of society.
He said that cleanliness, environmental protection, water management and youth skilling are the subjects which require attention today. Skill development of youth is a big concern among them.
He said that the Haryana State CSR Trust has been conceived keeping this in mind.
On this occasion, the agreement with Hero MotoCorp was signed by the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Gurugram, Sh. Vinay Partap Singh and the MoUs were exchanged with the company.
The three projects that the Chief Minister dedicated to the public have been set up by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited. Under this, 368 solar lights and eight RO plants have been installed in four villages of Fatehabad district. A cost of Rs 1.59 crore has been incurred on this.
Two solar power plants, one 100 kW and one 22.5 kW, have been installed at Mewat Engineering College Nuh. An amount of Rs. 59.70 lakh 70 has been spent on this.
Apart from this, 310 youths of Nuh district have been trained in retail, sales, marketing and tailoring skills on which Rs. 65 lakh has been spent.
It was informed at the meeting that Bio Diversity Park has been developed with the help of NGOs at the old mining site. In the Urban Forest (Bio Diversity Park) survey conducted in the last few days, more than 200 species of animals and birds have been found.
Chief Managing Director, Hero MotoCorp, Dr. Pawan Munjal said during this time that it is a matter of pride for us to be given the responsibility of maintaining this park. He expressed his commitment to cooperate to develop Gurugram into a role model.
Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. TVSN Prasad, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar and other senior officers were present. Besides noted Industrialist, Sh. BR Sikri, Director General, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Manesar, Dr. Sameer Sharma, Director General, HAREDA, Dr. Hanif Qureshi, CEO, Haryana Waqf Board, Sh. Mohammad Shayin, Deputy Commissioner, Fatehabad, Sh. Narhari Singh Banger, Deputy Commissioner, Nuh, Sh. Dhirendra Khadgata, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Executive Director and State Head, Sh. Shyam Bohra, and other administrative officers joined the meeting through video conferencing.
