Chandigarh, April 8 - While motivating the Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) to work with empathy, Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that his flagship programme, ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’ aims to prioritize the families belonging to weaker sections of the society so as to provide them maximum benefits of various social welfare schemes being run by the Government. He added that with the roll out of this scheme, “the lowest in status shall be the highest in merit for selection of welfare schemes”.

He said this during a meeting with the ADCs at the Haryana Niwas to discuss the progress on the ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’. He directed the ADCs to complete the work of constituting Local Committees (LC), which will identify one lakh families considering various aspects like income, assets, liabilities et al. The Local Committees will thereafter verify the credentials of the families under the supervision of the respective ADCs following which the identified families will be given the benefits of various social welfare schemes to enhance their financial and social status.

Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar mentioned that they must work on getting the Parivar Pehchan Patra Ids for the contractual employees, ex-servicemen and labourers working in their respective districts.

The Chief Minister further directed the districts to expedite the process of verification of data through Local Committees. He also directed them to collaborate with teachers, and other Government employees in the districts and encourage them to do this work with self motivation.

Laying emphasis on serving the people of the state, the Chief Minister said that the state government aims to serve the people of the state and the ADCs should also imbibe the same attitude in them for successful implementation of the ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’. Sh. Manohar Lal said that he gets a sense of satisfaction by serving the needy. Sharing the next step of the ambitious ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’, Additional Chief Secretary, Employment, Sh. T.C.Gupta said that various measures will be taken to uplift the financial status of the identified families. He further added that there will be no shortage of funds for the Yojana. The Local Committees will also provide counseling to the identified families of the weaker sections to help them uplift their financial status through various government schemes.

Ashima Brar, Secretary CRID, Smt. Sofia Dahiya, Director General Skill Development & Industrial Training & Employment, Sh. P.C. Meena, Principal Secretary Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogendra Chaudhary and ADCs of all districts were present in the meeting.
