Chandigarh, March 7 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the knowledge shared in Bhagavad Gita holds the key to remove  all doubts and problems of the world. To grasp the light of this knowledge, one has to imbibe the teachings of Bhagavad Gita in their lives.

 

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal was speaking after inaugurating the first phase of Geeta Museum built at Gita Gyan Sansthanam Centre  built at a cost of Rs. 5 crore in Kurukshetra today. Kurukshetra is the holy place from where the immortal teachings and knowledge of Bhagavad Gita was preached which is enlightening the entire world.

 

Sh. Manohar Lal said that just like its name, Gita Gyan Sansthanam,(G.I.E.O) is   constantly preaching the immortal teachings and knowledge of Bhagavad Gita  to the entire world.

 

“The spiritual gain of  Shrimad Bhagwad Gita is not gained  only by listening, reading, memorizing, or understanding, infact one gets the real benefit when the essence of this Holy Scripture is imbibed in one’s life,” said the Chief Minister.

 

The Chief Minister said that the Holy Scripture Gita has its own spiritual aura and if we remain associated with this then certainly, we would not indulge  in any wrongdoings in  our lives and will always get inspiration to do good work and hence our life will become pure.

 

Chief Minister said that the G.I.E.O Gita Museum and Library will be useful to pacify the thirst of the pilgrims  who visit this holy place with the curiosity  to imbibe  the celestial knowledge of Gita. The G.I.E.O Gita Institute has been established as center of world-class learning of Gita. This museum and library will prove to be the foundation stone of this study centre.

 

He said that the Gita Gyan Sansthanam is playing a big role in realizing the State Government’s vision of developing Kurukshetra as a major centre of Indian civilization and culture. The institute also plays a leading role in International Gita Festival which is held in Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra. Besides this, by organizing the Gita Mahotsav in Mauritius and Britain, the Gita Gyan Sansthanam is making a significant contribution in promoting the message of Gita abroad as well.

 

The Chief Minister said that both Central and State Governments are committed towards the development of Kurukshetra and it is the endeavor of the Government to start pilgrimage on the land of 48 Kos of Kurukshetra on the lines of Braj Kos Yatra.

 

Kurukshetra Development Board is conducting survey of 134 pilgrimages located in 48 Kos in Kurukshetra land as well as other important pilgrimages. These pilgrimages are being developed by Kurukshetra Development Board. Now the government will work to increase the budget for the development of 134 pilgrimages, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

 

He said that the Government will construct two big temples of Lord Krishna, including one in Vrindavan at a cost of Rs. 800 crore to be built on an area of 65 acres and another in Bangalore at a cost of Rs. 700 crore. Along with this, the Haryana government is also spending an amount of Rs 150 crore to make Jyotisar a world-class site.  An amount of 100 crore would be spent on Gita Gyan Sansthanam Centre being developed in Kurukshetra. Recently,  Sh. S.P Singla, a resident of Panchkula has donated an amount of Rs 51 lakh to this Centre and like him other people as per their financial capabilities should also come forward to make donations for this Institute, so that the constructing work of this  Centre can be completed in next 2 years.

 

Earlier speaking on the occasion, Guru Sharanananda Ji Maharaj said that knowledge holds significance in the scriptures and immortal knowledge is also received from Vedas. He said that the Gita Gyan Sansthanam Center will also play an important role in spreading light of knowledge to the world.

 

Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Maharaj while bowing to the land of Kurukshetra said that the foundation stone of this Gita Gyan Sansthanam Centre was laid on March 4, 2016. He said that due to the dedicated efforts of the Chief Minister, renovation work of 48 Kos pilgrimages is also being done.
