Chandigarh December 31: Reiterating, State Government’s commitment to uplift the poorest of the poor keeping in the spirit of Antyodaya, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal announced that from March 31, 2021, a special campaign will be launched to provide skill training, employment and financial assistance to uplift economic status of around one lakh families having least or no income source. The objective of this special campaign is to strengthen economic status of such families.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing a Press Conference here today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the calendar of Haryana Government for the year 2021.
Divulging details about this campaign, Chief Minister said that from March 31, 2021, as many as one lakh families will be identified through Parivar Pehchan Patra portal and after their identification, efforts will be made to increase the income of those who are having least or no income source.
“For this, the State Government will emphasize on the skill development of members of such families, providing employment opportunities to the unemployed members and also providing financial assistance. Besides this, employment avenues will also be explored to generate employment. If any family needs help to promote their ancestral business, then efforts will be made in that direction as well,” asserted the Chief Minister.
During the Press Conference, the Chief Minister while extending greetings on the eve of New Year said that like previous year, during 2021 as well, State Government would strive to work harder for further all-round development and progress of the state and its people. He said that new schemes and programmes for welfare of people belonging to all sections of the society would be launched.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced that while considering recommendations of the committee headed by Justice Daya Chaudhary, the State Government has decided to extend the special parole period of as many as 2471 prisoners till February 15, 2021, and special parole of as many as 2117 till March 31, 2021. He said that parole will be extended for those who have been sentenced for seven years or undertrials who are accused of offences punishable upto seven years.
While highlighting various key schemes and projects being launched by the State Government during the year 2020, the Chief Minister said that in a bid to ensure delivery of public welfare schemes being run by Government at the doorstep of the people, as many as 30 portals and various digital programmes have been started. People are taking benefit of all the public welfare schemes through Atal Seva Kendras, Antyodaya Saral Kendras and e-Disha Kendras.
The Chief Minister said that taking the lead in the country in rendering efficient public service delivery for all Government to Citizen (G2C) services and schemes, on December 30, 2020, President of India, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind had conferred Platinum Award under the category ‘Excellence in Digital Governance - State/UT’, Digital India Awards 2020, for Antyodaya Saral Portal to the State Government.
He said that in this year, various e-Governance initiatives have been take for making delivery of citizen-centric services to the people in a time-bound and hassle-free manner for ensuring no delays in the work and fixing accountability. Furthermore, even during the tough times of ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, almost every department meticulously incorporated Information Technology in their day to day functioning so as to ensure delivery of health, food, education, financial assistance till the grass root level, informed Mr. Manohar Lal.
Lauding the efforts of various departments for taking innovative steps during this Pandemic, the Chief Minister said that 'e-Sanjeevani', online medical services and counselling services were launched by the State Government. Besides this, the Chief Minister also announced that facility for registration of property documents in any tehsil within the district will commence from April 1, 2021. With this facility, any owner would be able to get an option to get their properties registered in any other tehsil located within the district.
The Chief Minister further said, “In order to curb discrepancies in registry of the land, e-registration portal has been launched. Furthermore, through the Integrated Haryana Land Records Information System (WEB HALRIS), land records are being completely digitalized and this system has already been implemented in all tehsils.”
Sharing Haryana Government’s plans for increasing the farmers’ income, the Chief Minister said that the Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran has been directed to advise the farmers to use specific agriculture techniques which are economically viable for them. He said that recently the Horticulture Department has been directed to explore the possibilities for cultivation of Fig in the State.
The Chief Minister said that under the ‘Pragatishil Kisan Samman Yojana’, the State Government has decided to register such progressive farmers who will motivate at least 10 farmers to adopt their best agricultural practices. He shared that Pashu Dhan Credit Card Yojana has been launched under which till now 1.07 lakh cards have been approved by various banks and as many as 21,000 cards have been distributed, and the rest will soon be distributed.
Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. D. S. Dhesi, Deputy Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister, Mr. Amit Kumar Agrawal and Mrs. Ashima Brar, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Mr. P.C Meena were also present on this occasion.
