Chandigarh October 8: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has expressed grief over the sad demise of Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Mr Ram Vilas Paswan who passed away today after a prolonged illness.

In a condolence message issued here today, Mr Manohar Lal said that he is saddened by the untimely demise of Mr Paswan.

The Chief Minister described Mr Ram Vilas Paswan as a renowned parliamentarian who will always be remembered for his efforts to empower the poor and marginalised .

His social service efforts were noteworthy, he added.

Mr Manohar Lal has conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.
