Chandigarh October 7: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today exhorted the newly selected candidates of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and All India Services (AIS) not to remain self-centric and utilize the power of their knowledge and experience in serving the society.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing the newly selected candidates of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and All India Services (AIS) from Haryana here today.
Congratulating the officers on their achievement, he said that it is a matter of pride for Haryana that the number of candidates clearing the competitive examinations is increasing every year. Mr Pardeep Singh, the topper of Civil Services Examination-2019 also hails from Haryana, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the present State Government has set an example by doing away with the practice of recommending names of Class-III employees for selection to the posts of HCS officers. He said that now applications were invited from all eligible employees of Class III and their selection was made after conducting the written examination through Haryana Public Services Commission (HPSC). Recently, 18 HCS officers were selected in Haryana in a fair and transparent manner, he added.
Speaking on this occasion, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), CID Mr Alok Mittal congratulated the newly selected candidates and said that for the last few years, the ranking of candidates from Haryana in various competitive examinations have been consistently improving. Their achievement would certainly motivate other aspiring candidates, he added.
In his welcome address, SP Security, Mr Pankaj Nain said that the number of candidates who have cleared the Civil Services Examination this time is much higher as compared to the previous years.
Later, Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal honoured the newly selected candidates of Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and All India Services (AIS) from Haryana with mementos.
Among those present on this occasion included Additional Chief Secretary, School Education, Dr Mahavir Singh, Director, Secondary Education Mr J. Ganeshan, DGP Mr Manoj Yadava, Adviser, Public Safety, Grievances, Good Governance and Incharge, CM Window Mr Anil Kumar Rao and other senior officers.
