Chandigarh, October 5 –Keeping an eye on natural conservation zones in the National Capital Region, Haryana would reconcile actual ground reality of the forest area, agriculture area and green area with satellite imagery and revenue record.
Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, shared this during the 39th meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) held digitally under the chairmanship of Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, and Chairman of NCRPB, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri, here today. Board members of other states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan attended the meeting.
During the meeting, intensive discussion was held on various issues related to the NCR area, Sub-Regional Plans, National Conservation Zone of Haryana. Besides this, in detailed discussion was held on the issues of water conservation in NCR like polluted water levels in Yamuna River and High Rate of Accidents.
While lauding the efforts being taken by Mr. Manohar Lal led State Government for making the NCR project a success, Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri said, “The work done by Haryana Government is very inspirational as it shows the dedication being of both the Chief Minister and his Administrative officer. I would like to request the other states to follow suit.”
Meanwhile, thanking Mr. Hardeep Singh Puri for recognizing the work done by the State Government, Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal assured active participation of State Government in drafting of Regional Plan-2041.
Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. Vijai Vardhan, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary, Forests and Wildlife Department, Mr. Alok Nigam, Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department, Mr. Devender Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Housing Department, Mr. T.C Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. S. N. Roy, Additional Chief Secretary, Home and Health & Family Welfare Department, Mr. Rajeev Arora, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. V. Umashankar, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Mr. Anurag Rastogi, Director, Town and Country Planning Department, Mr. K. Makarand Pandurang and other senior officers were present.
