Chandigarh September 17: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today exhorted the youth to remain positive and enthusiastic and eliminate the word FEAR (Forget Everything And Run) from their lives and instead work with the spirit of ‘Face Everything And Rise’ (FEAR) so as to contribute effectively in nation building.

Mr Manohar Lal was speaking at a Webinar on “Yuva Prerna Diwas” (Youth Motivation Day) organized by J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad to celebrate the 70th birthday of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, here today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched a Mobile App developed by the students of the University under their Start-up Project. An oath was also administered to all the members of the University fraternity and students in the presence of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal to buy one ‘Make-in-India’ product on 17th day of every month, for next 12 months in support of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi’s call of Vocal for Local.

The Chief Minister said that the birthday of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi is being celebrated in the country as “Seva Saptah”. He said that works of social service like blood donation camps, eye camps and distribution of fruits in hospitals would be taken up during the ‘Seva Saptah’.

He said that Mr Narenda Modi had left his home at a young age to serve poor, needy and people belonging to scheduled castes and other weaker sections of the society. He always worked with the spirit of Antyodaya to ensure that the last person standing in the queue get the benefit first. Even when he became the Prime Minister of the Country, he introduced himself as ‘Pradhan Sevak’. He said that Mr Modi who turns 70 today is as active and agile as a youth and he is always concerned about the youth welfare.

Describing India as a country of youth, Mr Manohar Lal said that India has more than 65 per cent of its population below 35 years and they have the responsibility on their shoulders to realize Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and also the effective implementation of other programmes like Make In India, Startup India, Standup India etc.

The Chief Minister also laid emphasis on imparting employment-oriented education to the students so as to make them self-reliant. Appreciating the J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, he said that other educational institutions and organizations should also come forward in this direction. He said that the State Government has established the country's first Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, at Dudhola village of Palwal district for the skill development of youth.

Referring to the new National Education Policy-2020 unveiled by the Central Government, he said that the new reforms that have been made in this policy would further motivate the youth of the country. Similarly, the recruitment reform in the form of National Recruitment Agency (NRA) would prove to be a boon for crores of youngsters, he added. He said that many new policies and programmes have also been implemented to give a major boost to sports as well as make the youth physically strong. He said that the Khelo India Programme is one of them.

He said that on the birthday of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi today, the youth should take a pledge to channelize their energy in the right direction and take the nation further ahead on the path of development under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi.

Earlier, speaking on this occasion, Vice Chancellor of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that the University has decided to celebrate the 70th birthday of Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi as “Yuva Prerna Diwas” (Youth Motivation Day). He assured that the University would leave no stone unturned in realizing Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

He also thanked Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal for further expansion of education facilities in Gurugram and Faridabad as a result of which the areas of Palwal, Rewari, Nuh, Gurugram and Faridabad are fast emerging as an education hub. He also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing 18 acres of land between Faridabad and Gurugram for the expansion of the University.

Registrar of University, Dr Sunil Kumar Garg, Dean of University, Dr Vikram Singh, faculty members, students of University and affiliated colleges also attended the webinar through digital medium.
