Chandigarh, June 24– Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today inaugurated the integration of three social security pension schemes of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department with the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) Portal at Chandigarh.
Giving details in this regard, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister inaugurated the integration of three pension schemes – Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme, Divyang Jan Pension Scheme, and Widow and Destitute Women Pension Scheme. The beneficiary of the three schemes of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department will be registered for the respective schemes through the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP). With access to the PPP, the details of the family will be readily available for the issuance of the pension to the beneficiary. He further added that if the beneficiary doesn’t have a Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) then the process of making a new family id will be initiated.
The spokesman revealed that under “Old Age Samman Allowance Scheme” the allowance for people aged 60 years of age or older has been increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,250 per month from January 2020. The Widows and Destitute Women Pension was increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,250 monthly from January 2020. Under the Divyang Pension Scheme persons aged 18 years or above with 60 percent disabilities or more, the pension was increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,250 monthly from January 2020.
Among those present included Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Mr. Uma Shankar, Principal Secretary Social Justice & Empowerment Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan, Secretary CRID Ms Sofia Dahiya and other senior officers.
