Chandigarh, June 22- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that it is the responsibility of a welfare state to help needy people and make them self-sufficient and the State Government is performing this responsibility very well with the spirit of Antyodaya.
The Chief Minister was speaking after launching the web portal https://atmanirbhar.haryana.gov.in of ‘Haryana Interest Waiver Scheme’ of the Finance Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Manohar Lal said that through this portal people of the State will be able to take loans without any collateral and 2 percent amount of interest will be borne by the State Government. He informed that that through this portal, three types of loans can be availed, which include Differential Rate of Interest Scheme (DRI) Loan, Shishu Loan (Mudra Scheme) and Education Loan
He said that under the Differential Rate of Interest Loan Scheme (DRI), people from rural areas having a family income of Rs. 18,000 per month and people living in urban areas having a family income of Rs. 24,000 per month will be given loans without any collateral. He said that the requirement of a family income certificate has been simplified by linking Aadhaar with Parivar Pehchan Patra.
Similarly, if a person or businessman wants to start his new business or he wishes to expand his business, then through this portal, under Shishu Loan (Mudra Yojana), he can get a loan of up to Rs 50,000 without any collateral, the spokesman said.
He informed that those students residing in Haryana, who have availed the education loan after January 1, 2015, the loan interest for all such students charged from the month of April to June 2020, would be borne by the State government.
The Chief Minister said that the objective of this scheme is to make the process of taking and repaying loans hassle-free in order to make poor and needy people self-reliant. At the same time, it will also help in strengthening the State’s economy after the lockdown.
He said that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has announced an economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees to make the country self-reliant after the Corona Pandemic.
“We have to ensure that Haryana gets the benefit of at least 10 percent of this package and within the next few months we have to take care of every person residing in the state,” he said.
He said that special teams have been formed for this task by the State Government, which is working on all aspects. A system is being prepared by the government for this task and Parivar Pehchan Patra of all the families are being made so that information of every member of each family can be collected and every needy person can be ensured the benefit of government schemes.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that through various schemes being run by the State Government, we have to help people of Haryana to manage their finances. He said that banks' cooperation is essential to extend the benefits of all schemes to the needy.
