Chandigarh December 2: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved the proposal for the transfer of land measuring 20 Kanal and 3.64 Marla of Government Senior Secondary School Palwal to Sports and Youth Affairs Department for the construction of Multi-specialty Indoor Sports Hall in the name of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Palwal.

While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that as per the Chief Minister’s announcement, the ground in Palwal, in which this Multi-specialty Indoor Sports Hall was to be constructed is being utilized for organizing Independence Day, Republic Day, Dushera celebrations and other public meetings.

He said that the Deputy Commissioner of the district had constituted a team comprising District Education Officer, District Sports Officer and Executive Engineer of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department to identify an alternative place for it. On the suggestion of the team, it has been decided that as per the revenue records, out of the total 203 Kanal and 5 Marla land of Government Senior Secondary School Palwal, 20 Kanal and 3.64 Marla land be transferred free of cost to Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
