Chandigarh, Sept 19- Haryana government has decided to increase the rate of subsidy from 10 per cent to 25 per cent, given under the Personal Loan Scheme through Haryana Women Development Corporation.
Giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal.
He said that under personal loan scheme, 25 per cent subsidy and 10 per cent beneficiary's share and the remaining 65 per cent of the loan, is given by commercial and nationalized banks. He said that the maximum limit of 25 per cent subsidy given on the total loan for Scheduled Caste women has been fixed at Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 for other categories, respectively. Earlier, the maximum limit of 10 per cent subsidy given on total loan was Rs 5,000.
Under Personal Loan Scheme, the maximum loan amount has been fixed for the person belonging to Scheduled Caste is Rs one lakh and Rs. 40,000 for other categories.
