Chandigarh, Aug 30- Haryana Cabinet which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today, approved the Model Service Rules in respect of Group A officers of Technical Education Department by repealing the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group A) Service Rules, 1986. The new Rules will be called the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group A) Service Rules, 2019.

The Service Rules to govern the service of Group A officers of the Technical Education Department namely the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group A) Service Rules, 1986 were published in the year 1986. After the implementation of these rules, a lot of new courses like Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fashion Design, Food Technology and Plastic Engineering were introduced in the institutes of Technical Education Department. Apart from this, new posts were created and restructuring of the posts had been carried out. These changes were required to be incorporated in the Service Rules and the same has now been done as per Model Service Rules.

Similarly, the Cabinet also approved the Model Service Rules in respect of Group B officers of Technical Education Department by repealing the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group B) Service Rules, 2001. The new Rules will be called the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group B) Service Rules, 2019.

The Service Rules to govern the service of Group B officers of the Technical Education Department namely the Haryana Technical Education Department (Group B) Service Rules, 2001 were published in the year 2001. After the implementation of these rules, some new courses like Fashion Design, Fashion Technology, Medical Electronics and Medical Lab Technology were introduced in the institutes of Technical Education Department. Besides, new posts were created and restructuring of the posts had been carried out. Further, some courses such as Production, Industrial Technology and Micro Processor Technology were laid. These changes were required to be incorporated in the Service Rules and the same has now been done as per Model Service Rules.
