Chandigarh, August 22- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal said that development works to the tune of Rs. 1,300 crore have been carried out in Indri assembly constituency, during the last five years.
The Chief Minister was addressing people at Udham Singh Chowk inIndri Vidhan Sabha constituency during Jan Aashirwad Yatra today. The Yatra passed through Butan Khedi, Budhanpur Bangar and reached Udham Singh Chowk.
The Chief Minister said that when the present government was formed in the state, then opposition party had said that this government is inexperienced and would last only few months. But in the last five years, our government has worked with honesty and transparency and laid emphasis on equitable development of all the regions of the state and have worked to serve the people round the clock.
The Chief Minister said that the development works of Rs 1300 crore have been carried out in Indri assembly constituency. Works like Herbal Park, construction of bridges on the Western Yamuna Canal, making CHC a 50-bedded hospital, construction of international swimming pool, sports stadium at Indragarh, block status to Kunjpura, construction of ITI in Chowarpura, construction of Rest House at Indri, four laning of road from Indri to Ladwa and other have been done, on priority basis.
He said that for the purpose of development works, the state government has given crores of rupees to every panchayat in the state.
He said that our government has ended the previous tradition of giving jobs to relatives of previous governments. Now, the present state government is providing jobs on merit basis.
The Chief Minister said that a provision has been made to give extra five numbers in interview to such candidates in whose no family member has got government job. He said that every day new announcements are being made by the state government and lately, ration cards have been distributed to 56,000 BPL families in the state. He said that he wants to build a new developed Haryana.
Those present included Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain, MP, Mr Sanjay Bhatia and others.
