Chandigarh, Sept 8 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said, “During the last 48 years since 1966, the state was dominated with fear, corruption and discrimination besides various irregularities. The previous governments did not create any system rather it merely played with the systems. But five years ago, the present State Government, which was formed with complete majority, has done the work of changing the old system and changed the politics by eliminating nepotism and regionalism. We served the people with the politics of resolution and got lots of work done in terms of development”.
The Chief Minister was addressing a large gathering during the Vijay Sankalp Rally in the presence of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi at Rohtak today.
While describing the 2.5 crore people of the state as his family, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the blessings received from people in all the 90 assembly constituencies of the state during the Jan Ashirwad Yatra were amazing and unprecedented experiences for him. He said that during this yatra from August 18 to September 8, about 20 lakh people wholeheartedly welcomed and blessed him. He said that many elections were held in the state during the last five years, but the Jind by-election changed the scenario of the state's politics.
The Chief Minister said that the present government worked to provide such services to the people of the state through e-governance for which they earlier used to visit the government offices. The government started online transfers and ended corruption in the name of transfers. Provided government jobs to the youth of the state on the basis of merit and arranged for skill training to those who did not get jobs. To take further this mission, the government has set up a Skill University where more than 800 courses are currently available. He said that during the tenure of the present government, more than 50,000 MSMEs have been established in the state, in which about 5.5 youth have got employment.
He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, the present government has worked to alleviate the hardship of women by providing gas connections to about 9 lakh families of the state and in the coming five years, the government has set target to provide clean water to the people under the ‘Jal Se Nal’ scheme.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that the people of the state supported them as a result of which they won all 10 seats in the Lok Sabha elections and now they will achieve the target of winning more than 75 seats in the upcoming assembly elections. He assured the people that a lot of development work has been done in the state in the last five years, but many works are still remaining. He said that in the coming five years, the State Government will work to remove the sufferings and for the welfare of every section of society including the poor, labourers and farmers.
BJP State President, Mr. Subhash Barala said that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi has visited Haryana for the first time after the huge victory of BJP in Lok Sabha elections and scrapping of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the people of the state appreciates the strong decisions taken by the Prime Minister and also respect his belief that hard work does not bring fatigue but self satisfaction.
Haryana Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr. O.P. Dhankar, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and former Union Minister, Chaudhary Birender Singh, Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Manish Kumar Grover and Member of Parliament, Arvind Sharma and many senior leaders also expressed their views.
