Chandigarh, August 16- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal today unveiled the statue of Amar Shaheed, Madan Lal Dhingra and paid floral tributes at the Punjabi Dharamshala in Jind district. The Chief Minister announced Rs 11 lakhs to All India Arorkhatri Mahasabha, Jind.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that if the future generations take inspiration from martyrs that country comes first then comes, personal happiness that would be true tribute to the martyrs. He said that we should all walk the path shown by the martyrs and adopt their ideals and give their full contribution in building a developed country and state. The martyrs of Haryana during the freedom struggle and also after independence have sacrificed and contributed to maintain the unity and integrity of the country.
He said that the contribution of Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Amar Shaheed Madan Lal Dhingra, Mangal Pandey and many other known and unknown martyrs cannot be forgotten. Due to which, today we are breathing in free India.
He said that after 72 years of independence, first time in the history of the country, Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister, Mr Amit Shah has taken a historic step by revoking sections 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir on August 5.
While paying tributes to former Prime Minister, Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his death anniversary, he said that Mr Vajpayee had played a pivotal role in building of new India. He also discussed about the steps taken by the government towards good governance. He said that the state government is working with the spirit of Haryana Ek, Haryanavi Ek.
After this, the Chief Minister attended the Aastha rally organized at Eklavya Stadium in Jind where he addressed the people. Later, the Chief Minister also attended High Powered Committee meeting of Chief Minister’s through video conferencing.
