Chandigarh April 9: Keeping in view the unprecedented circumstances due to n-COVID-19 and the economic hardship faced by the General Public, the Haryana Government has directed all the Departments and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) not to levy any penalty on various types of dues since March 15, 2020 including surcharge or penal interest till April 30, 2020.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Finance Department said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
He said that at present, the State Government has 52 departments, 23 corporations or companies, 19 cooperative institutions and 20 Boards, authorities and societies. He said that on daily basis the government institutions are collecting various types of dues such as statutory payments, service charges in lieu of different type of services offered, loan recovery, interest payments etc.
He further said that no coercive action would be taken by the departments and PSUs to recover any dues during this period.
