Chandigarh, June 9 - In Haryana, the International Gita Mahotsav 2019 will be organized from November 22, 2019 to December 10, 2019, under which the main events of the International Gita Mahotsav will be from December 3 to 8, 2019 at Kurukshetra.
A spokesperson of the Kurukshetra Development Board said that the Gita exhibition will be opened under the International Gita Mahotsav in Red Fort of Delhi between November 1 and 5, which will continue for 15 days. He said that a seminar will be organized on the topic of Shrimad Bhagvad Gita in the auditorium of Kurukshetra University from December 3 to 5. Under the International Gita Mahotsav, about 18,000 children will recite Gita shalokas in the theme park on December 8. He said that bhajan sandhya and Gita Aarti will be organized daily from November 22 to December 10.
He said that under the Mahotsav, cultural programs will be organized by the NZCC and local agencies on Shrimad Bhagvad Gita. Many celebrities including famous bhajan singers will participate in these programs. The online Mahabharata quiz will be organized on the occasion of Haryana Day on November 1. During the Mahotsav, there will be a grand saint's conference, in which saints will come from every corner of the country to deliver sermons on the topic of Gita. He said that from November 22, Gita Jyoti will be organized in the perimeter of 48 Kos, which will continue till December 3. He said that the International Craft Mela will be organized from November 22 to December 10 on the banks of Brahma Sarovar, in which artisans from far places will come.
He said that all the institutions willing to organize free ‘Bhandra’ in the International Gita Mahotsav, they will be provided space by KDB and for this, the KDB will not charge anything from the institutions. He said that apart from this, different types of competitions will also be organized during the Mahotsav and on December 1, marathon will be organized on the theme of Gita. He said that ‘Nukkad Nataks’ will also be organized in the perimeter of 48 Kos.
He said that necessary directions has been given to the officers on light and sound, lights, food, parking, sanitation, electricity, water and health related matters, and said that it should be ensured that there is no negligence in the successful celebrations International Gita Mahotsav.
