Chandigarh, November 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that saints give the right direction to society and play a pivotal role to guide today’s youth.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the auditorium of the newly constructed Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Institute of Values at Sector-47 in Gurugram today. In this programme, the Chief Minister was honoured by presenting a shawl and memento.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that Swami Vivekananda is the role model of the youth. In today’s era, youth should be made aware about the principles given by Swami Vivekananda so that they get inspired and can inculcate in their lives to follow the right direction. Even today, the image and the principles of Swami Vivekananda infused enthusiasm in youth. The childhood name of Swami Vivekananda was Narendra. Today, the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi is also following and implementing the ideas of Swami Vivekananda. He is engaged in uniting the country. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is the priority of the central government. There should be an exchange of cultural ideas among citizens and everyone should be united. He said that keeping the country intact has also emerged from the tradition of saints. He said that in the country, saints have been contributing to spread the message of non-violence, kindness, humanity, virtue, service etc. to the society. The present state government is paying respect to the saints, celebrating their birth anniversary to preach and promote their supreme ideas.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the land of saints. Lord Krishna had given the divine message of Bhagavad Gita to the entire humanity from this land. He informed that the International Gita Festival is celebrated in Kurukshetra to spread the message of Bhagavad Gita. To further spread the message of Gita all over the world, programmes of International Gita Festival were organized in Mauritius, Canada, UK and now there is a demand from Indian Diaspora in Australia to organize Gita Jayanti programmes there as well.
The Chief Minister said that the state government does constructive development works such as construction of railways, roads, buildings, schools and hospitals, but saints create human beings having good moral values which will take the country to achieve great heights. The Chief Minister said that it is an immense pleasure that today this institution has 200 centres. The first centre in Haryana has begun today in Gurugram.
Swami Shanti Atmanand expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing land for the construction of the centre to Swami Ramakrishna Mission in Sector-47 of Gurugram on behalf of the organizers. On this occasion many dignitaries were present.
