Chandigarh, May 1: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, while extending his greetings to all the workers of the country and the state on the occasion of International Labour Day said that the hardworking labourers and workers have always been the best contributors towards nation-building.

In a message issued here today on the occasion of International Labour Day, the Chief Minister said that the economic and developmental activities in the country as well as throughout the world have attained success and growth due to the hard work of labourers and we should all be grateful to them for their contribution.

The Chief Minister said that due to COVID-19 pandemic, the labourers have also been hit hard. But in this hour of crisis, the State Government has taken care of the workers in every way. Industrial and economic activities are being resumed in a phased manner and it is hoped that the contribution of workers will speed up the development of the country and the state.

The Chief Minister said that during the lockdown period, important announcements have been made for labourers. An insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh for laborers working in the procurement process in mandis has also been announced.
