Chandigarh, May 2 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today was presented with a cheque of Rs 2.51 crore for Haryana Corona Relief Fund from the sarpanch of Panchayat of village Rampur of Sonipat district, Mr. Naresh Kumar to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal praised the people of the village for their efforts and said that panchayats as well as social organizations have been giving their support to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has taken effective steps in this fight against Corona. Adequate procurement arrangements have been made in mandis while ensuring social distancing norms. Health facilities have been constantly upgraded. Further, industrial and commercial units in Red, Orange and Green Zones will be operationalized and commercial activities will be started in a graded manner. He assured the people of Haryana that very soon COVID-19 will be eradicated.
On this occasion, Mr. Rajiv Jain, former media advisor to Chief Minister thanked the Panchayat and the villagers of Rampur for their contribution.
Sarpanch, Mr. Naresh Kumar said that the people of the village have always played a significant role in the hour of crisis. Mangaram, Krishna, Virendra, Deepak, Ashok, Surendra and others from Rampur village were also present on this occasion
