Chandigarh, Aug 10 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today called upon the youth to contribute to make Haryana a happy and prosperous state. He said that youth power can take the country and the state further on the path of development.
The Chief Minister was addressing the youth in the state level function ‘Navtarang - Shaheedon Ko Naman’ organized at Charkhi Dadri today. Earlier, he laid the foundation stone of various projects worth about Rs 70 crore.
The Chief Minister administered pledge to the youth for united India and said that instead of wasting their energy, the youth should channelize it into positive works. He urged the youth to use their immense power in eliminating the social evils and said that youth power is the future of the country.
The Chief Minister said that ‘Yuva Aayog’ has been constituted in the state to make the youth morally balanced and Yadavindra Singh, the descendant of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, has been appointed as the chairman of this Aayog. Haryana is the second state in the country to constitute this Aayog. Suggestions for the youth will be sought and commissioned through the Aayog, he added.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that educational system has been strengthened to improve the standard of education in the state. As many as 29 new colleges have been established in the last five years for the higher education of women.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana Government is working as a pioneer for youth. That is why more than 69,000 youth have been given jobs on the basis of merit. The confidence of the youth has increased in the government. The Chief Minister said that Haryana is giving maximum amount of incentives in sports. Haryana players have bagged the maximum number of medals in the sports activities. He said that every section of the society is happy with the government's transparent schemes. By creating a new environment for youth, 4.90 lakh youth have been provided employment in the private sector.
He said that the government has formulated Haryana State Youth Policy-2019 for the all-round development of youth. Haryana is the first state in the country where educated unemployed youth are guaranteed 100 hours of work every month under the 'Saksham Yuva Yojana'. For this, Rs 9000 per month is given along with unemployment allowance. In the state, 75,909 youth have been employed in different departments and organizations of the government, he added.
Describing the decision taken by the Central Government in the matter of Article 370 of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the dream of the country's first Home Minister, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has been fulfilled by the Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi and the Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah.
