  • Chandigarh, July 23 - Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal today laid the foundation stone of several projects worth Rs. 32 crore in Karnal and launched a novel campaign, 'Pudhagiri', aimed at environment conservation with the active participation of school students.
  • The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of five development works from the new grain market complex  at Karnal. A sum of Rs. 32 crore would be spent on construction of these projects. He said that equal development was  being ensured all over the state and no laxity would be tolerated in carrying out  unbiased development of the state.  
  • The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of road from village Nidana to Shamgarh  in  Nilokheri  constituency  which  would  be constructed at a sum of Rs. 2.2 crore.  Another foundation stone was laid for road from village Jamba to Aibla Jageer, which  would be constructed  at a cost of Rs. 1.14 crore. He also laid the foundation stone  of a shopping complex in the premises of  the municipal committee Indri to be constructed at a cost of Rs 1.46 crore and also for a municipal committee office at Indri at a cost of Rs. 1.26 crore.
  • The Chief Minister also launched the Integrated Power Development Scheme of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam from grain market. Under this scheme an amount of Rs. 25 crore would be spent on construction of  new 11 KV lines and  strengthening of already existing 11 KV lines  in the various parts of district. In addition new LT lines would be constructed and existing LT lines would be augmented and overloaded lines would be replaced with XLPE cables, besides, installation of new transformers and strengthening and augmentation of overloaded transformers and replacing the old and electromechanical meters.  This work would be done by J. B. Electrical Panchkula. It would benefit  over one lakh consumers of the area.
  • Paudhagiri program would be implemented through school students from class 6th to 12th.  Under this campaign 20 lakh saplings would be planted in the State that would make the State clean and green.  An incentive of Rs. 50  every  six  months would be given to the students for three years for ensuring survival of these plants.
  • MLA, Gharaunda Mr Harvinder Kalyan , MLA Nilokheri, Mr Bhagwan Das and OSD to CM, Mr Amrender Singh were present on this occasion.
  • Chandigarh, July 23 : Haryana Chief Minister,  Mr Manohar Lal has found a novel medium  to preserve the culture, development and the nature. He inaugurated the 'Pudhagiri Program',  a new initiative for conserving environment with children participation through  this campaign.
  • The State Government has launched various campaigns like save water, Rahgiri,  Swachhta for connecting people to social participation as well as development. The goal of Chief Minister behind all these campaigns is to make people aware that the development does not mean only construction of huge building, industry and roads.
  • Paudhagiri program would be implemented through students from class 6th to 12th  and the students are quite enthusiastic about this campaign. As without development is impossible without conserving water, environment  and earth. Under this campaign 20 lakh saplings would be planted in the State that would make the State clean and green and resultantly healthy life.  An incentive of Rs. 50  every  six  months would be given to the students for three years (total Rs. 300 for complete 3 years)  for the care of these plants. The Chief Minister also took a pledge along with the people so as to connect them with this campaign, “Jaagenge Jagaayenge, ye sabko batlaayenge, paudhe khoob lagaayenge, paalenge, Posenge, Per inhe banayenge,  Aaj inhi k Nanhe Mitro ko Hum Vriksh Banaayenge aur apne Vaatavaran ko Hara Bhara Chamkaayenge”.
  • Chandigarh, July 23- Haryana Public Works Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that a 50 million litre per day (MLD) capacity Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) would soon be functional in sector-9 A, in Gurugram.
  • The Minister said that and the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal would inaugurate the project. The water  treated in STP would be used in parks and for irrigation.
