Chandigarh, November 6 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that today is a historic day for the people of Haryana. The Haryana Vidhan Sabha today passed a bill to ensure 50 per cent reservation for women in all the three levels of Panchayati Raj Institutions in Gram Panchayats. Furthermore, eight percent reservation to BC (A) class people in Panchayat Samitis and District Councils and in the Panchayat Samitis and District Councils has also been passed.
The Chief Minister, who is also the Leader of the House, said this while replying on the last day after a two-day session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

This is not democracy in the true sense. He further added that, the Congress holds demonstrations stating that the Agriculture Bills are not in the interest of farmers and is further misleading the farmers, but when the time to hold discussions comes the Opposition finds excuses to walk out.

Later, the Deputy Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha, Mr. Ranbir Gangwa also thanked everyone for supporting the conduct of the session and announced the adjournment of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha indefinitely.
