Chandigarh, June 9 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said, “attaining power is not our last stop, but our dream is to move forward with everyone. In the last four-and-a-half years, we first started our journey from the Faridabad Municipal Corporation elections. After successfully winning the Gurugram municipal election, Panchayat elections, election to five municipal corporations and Jind bye-election, we have also registered victory on all ten seats in the Lok Sabha elections successfully”.
The Chief Minister was addressing gathering in a function at Faridabad today.
Mr. Manohar Lal said that this victory in the Lok Sabha elections is dedicated to the workers. He said that the democratic system is followed in BJP only whereas, even today, the dynastic politics dominate in other parties.
The Chief Minister while congratulating the people of Faridabad said that people have made a record in the entire country by ensuring victory of Krishan Pal with 6.38 lakh votes. The Chief Minister said that we have completely fulfilled the responsibility of the government to meet the hopes and aspirations of the people. The State Government developed all the regions, sections and castes equally, and fulfilled the resolution of 'Haryana Ek-Haryanvi EK'. Priority was given to the welfare of disadvantaged and affected people. He said that today, there is 24 hours of electricity supply is ensured in 3,600 villages and the water of the canals is reaching the tail ends. Equitable development has been carried out in the areas of all MLAs irrespective of the fact to which party they belong. He said that we opened the doors of jobs on merit basis for the youth of the state. Schemes such as Women Police Stations, Ujjwala Scheme, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao have proved to be a boon in women's development. Efforts have been made to strengthen the Police Department and 12,000 new policemen were recruited and applications will soon be invited to recruit 6,500 more. Every single grain of farmers' produce was purchased. Upon arrival of the disaster, compensation amounting to Rs.5,500 crore was released. Apart from this, registration of the labourers have been done and pension scheme has been implemented for the farmer-laborers besides discrepancies in the remaining classes will be removed in the next five years.
