Chandigarh, June 11- Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved the construction of six nursing colleges at a cost Rs 194.30 crore in various districts of the state so as to overcome the shortage of trained and qualified nursing personnel and provide 24 hour medical care to the people of the state. The Nursing Colleges will be constructed within a period of 15 months.

Giving details, an official spokesman said that two Nursing Colleges will be constructed in district Faridabad and one each in the districts of Rewari, Kaithal, Kurukshetra and Panchkula. In Faridabad district, the Nursing Colleges will be constructed at Village Dayalpur and village Aura, in Rewari district at village Sadat Nagar, in Kaithal district at village Dherdu, in Kurukshetra district at village Kheri Ram Nagar and in district Panchkula nursing college will be constructed in village Kherawali.

He said that the land for setting up these colleges has already been leased out to Department of Medical Education and Research. He said that the concept plan of each Nursing institute having academic block, hostel block for students and residential facility for teaching staff have been prepared and approved.
