Chandigarh September 10: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval amounting to over Rs 7.63 crore for the up-gradation of 14, 3G Static Cell Phone Jammers to 4G Jammers in four Jails of the State.

While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that these Jails included District Jails of Jhajjar, Sonipat, Gurugram and Central Jail Ambala.

He said that during the year 2016-17, Prisions Department had got installed 14, 3G Static Cell Phone Jammers of M/s ECIL in these four Jails of the State. While seven 3G Jammers were installed in District Jail Jhajjar, five in District Jail Sonipat and one each in District Jail Gurugram and Central Jail Ambala. These would now be upgraded to 4G Jammers, he added.
