Chandigarh, November 7: Expressing grief and extending his condolences on the death of people due to consumption of adulterated liquor in Sonepat and Panipat districts Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh. This relief amount will be given from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

The Chief Minister said that the police has made an arrest in this regard and further investigation is underway. He said that strict directions have been given to bust this network.

Mr. Manohar Lal said that strict action will be taken by the state government against those officers, employees, contractors or liquor mafia involved in the illegal sale of liquor.

He said that strict action is being taken by the present state government to stop such cases.
