Chandigarh, April 14: Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that Haryana is the first state in the country which is procuring 14 crops at minimum support price (MSP) in the interest of farmers. Along with this, the rest of the crops are being procured through Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana. He assured that the farmers would be given compensation till the month of May for the crop loss due to recent unseasonal rains and hailstorms.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the people during a Jan Samvad programme in Palwal’s Hodal town on Friday. He also extended good wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious festival of Baisakhi.
He said that the government stands with the common man and along with basic infrastructural development, the benefits of government services are being provided to the citizens through Parivar Pehchan Patra. Giving relief to the safai karamcharis of Hodal Municipal Council, the Chief Minister ordered immediate release of 75 percent pending salary of the concerned karamcharis.
The Chief Minister said that Ayushman cards of 12,833 people in Hodal with a population of about 60,000 have been made and out of them, 128 people have got free treatment worth about Rs 26 lakh. He said that under the Parivar Pehchan Patra, 1160 new ration cards have been made in Hodal, while earlier 5500 ration cards were made. “The government is now automatically making pension for the elderly people who are above 60 years of age, under which the pension of 44 elderly people in Hodal has been made so far. The government has increased the annual income limit of the elderly from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 3 lakh,” he added.
He said that the government is taking concrete steps to eliminate corruption. “The government is working with transparency and employment opportunities are being made available to the qualified youth. Till now in Palwal, the present government has given employment to 2866 youths without any parchi-kharchi, out of which 97 jobs have been given to the youths of Hodal,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs 2.5 crore for the development of the Hodal mandi. He said that to solve the drinking water problem in this area, the government is implementing various schemes. He also accorded approval for various other development schemes including road network and said that the construction work of new bus stand in Hodal would start soon.
He also announced an amount of Rs 11 lakh for cooperation in Shri Krishna Chaubisi Gaushala in Hodal. Apart from this, repair work for chaupals and dharamshalas of this area will also be started soon, he added. On the occasion, Hodal MLA, Sh. Jagdish Nayar and other dignitaries were also present.
