Chandigarh, May 15: On the third day of the Jan Samvad programme in Sirsa, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal announced to reduce the rates of lifting of soil from Ottu lake by 50 percent on the demand of the farmers of Ottu village. With this, the farmers can lift soil from Ottu lake for Rs 500 per trolley.
Along with this, the Chief Minister announced to develop Ottu Lake as a tourist destination. For this, he directed the administration to prepare a report; on the basis of which the process will be started.
The Chief Minister was interacting with the people during the Jan Samvad programme at Ottu village, Rania. Besides listening to the grievances of the people and giving directions to the officers to resolve them; he also took feedback from the people about the benefits being received from various schemes of the government.
CM announces additional budget for development of small villages
The Chief Minister announced additional budget for development works in the small villages. He directed the BDPO to prepare and send a proposal of small villages, whose budget is over or their income is low; so that additional budget can be given to them.
Meanwhile, on the demand of a school in the village, the Chief Minister announced that on the lines of building a college every 20 kilometres, the government will now work on setting up a senior secondary school within 5 kilometres radius of the village. “The aim of the government is that no child should be deprived of education,” he said.
Additional Kabaddi nursery in Jamal village, gym in Kagsar
During the programme, the Chief Minister announced setting up of an additional kabaddi nursery at Jamal village on the demand of a youth. Similarly, permission was given to build a gym in Kagsar village. The Chief Minister said that sports is very important to keep the youth away from the clutches of drugs and for this the government is committed to provide sports facilities.
On the occasion, Energy Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Jawahar Yadav, former MLAs, Sh. Ram Chander Kamboj, Dr. Pawan Saini along with other dignitaries and officials were present.
