Chandigarh, September 6 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh.  Manohar Lal has directed the officers of Irrigation and Police Departments to take stern action against those involved in the unlawful theft of canal water in the Hansi area.

During a Jan Samvad programme held in village Kulana in Hansi Assembly Constituency, district Hisar today, the Chief Minister addressed the concerns of local villagers and emphasized that water theft would not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Responding to the villagers' complaints about water theft at the Beed Minor, Sh.  Manohar Lal directed the officers concerned to take decisive action against the culprits, including legal proceedings.

Additionally, the Chief Minister announced several developmental initiatives for the village, including upgrading the Kulana village school upto the 12th grade and the establishment of a library within the school premises. He also directed the officers concerned to expedite the work of paving Phirni in the village and the implementation of scheduled bus routes.

During the Jan Samvad, the Chief Minister presented on-the-spot pension certificates to seven women beneficiaries, highlighting the government's commitment to streamlining processes through schemes like Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).

The Chief Minister informed that under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme,  as many as 1496 cards have been issued in Kulana village, providing free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh for eligible families.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of linking all government schemes to the Parivar Pehchan Patra, ensuring transparency and simplification of processes. He encouraged citizens to obtain their PPP cards, who have yet not made the same.

Furthermore, in response to requests from other village sarpanches, Sh.  Manohar Lal announced the construction of a community centre in Sheikhpura village and directed officers to send proposals for various development projects. He further directed the officers to ensure a smooth supply of electricity to Sheikhpura.

The Chief Minister directed the officers to connect the drinking water supply from Bhakra to Kutabpur, repair Dhani Pal to Sainipura road, and construct a Main Chaupal in village Bhatla.

The Chief Minister highlighted the state government's commitment to merit-based job placements for the youth, with 8,746 young individuals securing government jobs in Hisar district over the past nine years, including 21 youths from Kulana village.
