Chandigarh, Sept 7 - Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal today announced to formulate a scheme to improve road infrastructure in villages incorporated into urban areas. Under this scheme, the roads leading to the fields in the villages incorporated into urban areas will be improved, providing convenience for farmers in transporting their crops to and from the fields.

The Chief Minister was interacting directly with the people during a Jan Samvad Programme held at Satrod Khas village in the Hisar district.

Earlier, Sh. Manohar Lal also paid floral tributes to Saint Shiromani, Shri Dhanna Bhagat during the Jan Samvad programme. On this occasion, he also distributed tricycles to the differently-abled. Besides this, he also visited an exhibition showcasing products made by women Self-Help Groups.

While highlighting the government's existing Khet Khalihan scheme, which focuses on paving roads to rural fields, he said that now a new plan will be developed specifically aimed at paving the road for the villages included in the urban areas.

Pension disbursement system simplified

During the Jan Samvad program, the Chief Minister emphasized the simplified process of pension disbursement through the Parivar Pahchan Patra. Elderly individuals now have the convenience of receiving their pensions from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for office visits. In this program, the Chief Minister facilitated pension processing for nine individuals who had reached the age of 60 and distributed pension cards to them.

Enhanced transparency through Online Portals

The Chief Minister informed that the state government has enhanced transparency and efficiency in the implementation of schemes by introducing online portals. These portals streamline the delivery of scheme benefits to the eligible people. The Parivar Pehchan Patra system has played an important role in ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.

Remaining works under the AMRUT scheme to start within the next month

Talking about the AMRUT scheme, the Chief Minister said that the work under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme has already been completed in Satrod Khas village, which has now become a part of the Municipal Corporation Hisar. He announced that the remaining works under this scheme would kick off within the next month. Furthermore, plans to beautify the tomb site in the village are underway. Other construction projects include the establishment of a community centre, the construction of streets worth Rs 4 crore, and the development of a stadium under the new sports stadium policy. Efforts will also be made to upgrade the sub-health centre, subject to feasibility, said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister underscored the government's commitment to providing quality healthcare to the underprivileged through the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Families with an annual income of up to Rs 1.80 lakh are eligible for free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under this scheme. In Satrod Khas, 2829 cards have been issued, resulting in 93 individuals receiving treatments worth Rs 30 lakh.

He highlighted the fair distribution of ration cards to eligible beneficiaries, with 12.50 lakh new cards issued in the state. In Satrod Khas alone, 833 new ration cards were issued. In addition, incorrect or improperly issued ration cards from the past in the state have also been canceled.

Illegal encroachments will be removed from the villages

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the rule of law, the Chief Minister assured that illegal encroachments in villages would be addressed promptly. Upon receiving complaints from villagers of Kharar village regarding encroachments on 38 acres of land, he instructed the Panchayat to propose a resolution while directing the Deputy Commissioner to facilitate the removal of encroachments in accordance with established regulations. In response to a complaint about encroachments on the Johad (water body) in Satroad Khas village, the Chief Minister urged the Municipal Corporation Mayor to take appropriate action for their removal.
