Chandigarh, May 21- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal today released books based on the life of great warriors Hari Singh Nalwa and Maharaja Ranjit Singh at PWD Rest House, Gurugram.
The Chief Minister while congratulating the author, Dr. Vanit Nalwa, who is also the seventh generation of the great warrior Hari Singh Nalwa, said that the nation is remembering the brave sacrifices of the warriors during the period of Amrit Kaal that contributed to the unity, integrity and independence of the country.
CM further stated that the young generation will get an opportunity to know about the bravery and valour of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and his Army Chief Hari Singh Nalwa through these research based books.
Giving information, Dr. Vanit Nalwa said that Hari Singh Nalwa defeated the foreign invaders coming from the Afghan border in many battles. Tales of his bravery are remembered even today. These books contain crucial information and various aspects of his life.
It is noteworthy that the great warrior Hari Singh Nalwa was the chief commander of the Khalsa Fauj. He had contributed significantly in the establishment of the empire of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
During this, Harmeet Bindra, who is preparing to make a web series on the OTT platform on the lives of Hari Singh Nalwa, Chief Minister's Public Safety Advisor, Sh. Anil Rao, Preeti Nalwa along with other dignitaries were present.
Harmeet Bindra stated that Hari Singh Nalwa has been his hero since childhood. The idea of making a web series came to his mind after getting certain information about his life from a museum in New York.
