Chandigarh, June 2- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal chaired a key meeting regarding the redevelopment and master plan of the Shree Mata Mansa Devi shrine in Panchkula.
Sh. Manohar Lal directed the officers concerned and the representatives of CBRI to ensure quick execution and implementation of this master plan so that beautification and development works could be started at the earliest.
The Chief Minister was apprised that the shrine will be beautified on similar lines to the Kashi Vishwanath temple corridor as per the plan. Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), Roorkee had prepared the blueprint.
Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta Mayor, Panchkula, Sh. Kulbushan Goyal also remained present during the meeting.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation of the blueprint for the redevelopment of Shree Mata Mansa Devi Temple like that of Kashi was shared.
It was further informed that this also includes separate pathways for four-wheelers and pedestrians. A bus stop has also been proposed for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple.
The journey to Shrine begins in Shakti Dwar
In the meeting, it was informed that in the draft master plan, a special plan has been made to give a great look to the shrine entry. One will start from Shakti Dwar to reach the main temple. A Shakti Corridor will be made from here to the main temple and this will be named as Shakti Path. Walking on the Shakti Path, devotees will reach the main temple.
108 feet giant south-facing statue of Lord Hanuman will be the centre of the attraction
In the draft plan, a grand Hanuman Vatika will also be built at the Shrine site. A 108 feet giant south-facing statue of Lord Hanuman in ‘Vardahast Mudra’ will be the centre of attraction. This can be clearly seen even from a distance of about 1 kilometre i.e. Shakti Dwar. Apart from this, worship places, Narayan Seva Sthal, Nitya Park, Trikona Park etc. will also be established. There is also a proposal to start a laser show in the open-air theatre for the devotees and visitors. A provision has been made to make Shakti Chowk.
Heritage tourism will also get a significant boost
The renovation of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine will be done in a phased manner. The government also aims to give a major boost to heritage tourism. A separate shopping complex will also be built here. Multi-level parking and a bus stop will also be built here. Separate walkways for vehicles and pedestrians are also included. An open-air theatre with a light and sound show will also be built, which will have a capacity of about 500 people.

Vikas Gupta, Chief Administrator, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran, Panchkula, Sh. Ajit Balaji Joshi Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Smt. Priyanka Soni and other officers and representatives of CRBI also attended the meeting.
