Chandigarh, June 1 – Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while chairing a key meeting with the Administrative Secretaries held here today directed them to seriously consider the complaints, demands, and recommendations received in writing from the public during the Jan Samvad Programme and ensure timely and quick redressal of every complaint. During the meeting, Sh. Manohar Lal reviewed the status of grievances received on the Jan Samvad portal.
“Every officer should ensure that complainant does not have to run from pillar to post to get the solution of their problem and to achieve this objective only, the initiative of organizing Jan Samvad has been started,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Directing all the Administrative Secretaries, the Chief Minister said that the officers should check the Jan Samvad portal every 7 days and review how many complaints registered under their departments have been resolved.
So far 7200 complaints and demands have been registered on the Jan Samvad portal
Sh. Manohar Lal further directed that separate categories should be made for each report at the departmental level so that complaints go unnoticed.
He stated that the Haryana government has implemented numerous e-governance programmes to make the common man’s life easier and the launch of the Jan Samvad portal is a major step in this direction. So far, around 7200 complaints and demands have been submitted on the portal and have been forwarded to concerned Administrative Secretaries for necessary action.
Jan Samvad Portal is a new initiative taken in the public interest
The Chief Minister said that in the Jan Samvad, people have shared with him that they used to give several copies of their written complaints to various public representatives, but their applications used to get misplaced. Understanding this dilemma, we have launched the Jan Samvad portal so that no complaint goes unnoticed. Under this new IT setup, information regarding the written representation given by the people is digitally recorded on this site and submitted to the concerned departments for further action.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that when a complaint or demand is submitted on this portal, the information is sent to the complainant through SMS. Following that, information regarding the action being initiated by the respective department and officer is also sent to the complainant via SMS.
“People are lauding the government for taking such an innovative system. The public now believes that their written documents will not be discarded and every single complaint will be addressed,” said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Officers should fix a deadline for the redressal of every complaint
The Chief Minister stated that officers and the state government should jointly aim to resolve every grievance raised by our citizens. Therefore, officers should fix a deadline for the redressal of every complaint received on the portal. This will also fix the accountability of the officer concerned, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
Monitoring will be ensured from the CM office to the village level
The Chief Minister said that on the Jan Samvad portal, the government has complete information regarding the works to be executed at the village level. The Chief Minister's Office monitors this portal on a daily basis. Not only that, but all nodal officers will access this portal on a daily basis to take action and report the status. Monitoring of all work from the CM's office to the village level would be assured in this manner.
He also directed that every Administrative Secretary or his nodal officer should access the Gram Darshan Portal, Nagar Darshan Portal, CM Window, and Jan Samvad Portal on a daily basis to expedite the completion of tasks.

K. Makarand Pandurang and the Administrative Secretaries of other departments also remained present during the meeting.
