Chandigarh, July 22-  Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal while congratulating the NDA candidate Smt. Droupadi Murmu on being elected as the 15th President of the country said that her victory is a matter of pride for the country.

He said that Smt. Droupadi Murmu has become a symbol of women empowerment, dignity and self-respect and her selection is certainly a great example of India's vibrant democracy.

The Chief Minister said that Smt. Droupadi Murmu's entire life has been inspirational. He was very impressed by her personality and simplicity. A tribal woman becoming the President of India certainly highlights the unity of India, he said.
