Chandigarh, July 13: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has said that the state government is preparing a plan to buy land for big projects like industry, health and education. If the farmers themselves are ready to give land for them, then such schemes can be implemented soon. He said that the people's representatives should identify the land in the concerned area and inform the government.

The Chief Minister was interacting with public representatives of Bhiwani-Mahendergarh Lok Sabha constituency today. Bhiwani-Mahendergarh Lok Sabha MP, Sh. Dharmbir Singh, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal, Social Justice Empowerment and Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister, Sh. Omprakash Yadav, MLAs, Sh. Abhay Singh Yadav, Sh. Sitaram Yadav, Sh. Ghanshyam Sarraf, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Bharti OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Bhupeshwar Dayal, former MLA,  Sh. Shashi Ranjan Parmar and many party officers were present.

Sh. Manohar Lal  said that if land is available in Bhiwani, Mahendragarh and Charkhi Dadri, then big projects can be set up in these areas, which will directly benefit the people. These will open up employment opportunities, especially for the youth along with self-employment. He said that 1000 acres of land has been purchased through the e-Bhoomi portal. On this portal, farmers have voluntarily given this land which has been purchased by the committee.

The Chief Minister further added that the government has not forcefully acquired even an inch of land in its 8 years of tenure. Only the necessary land has been taken on which railway lines, roads etc. have been built. He said the farmers have agreed to give up to 25 acres of land for the PADMA scheme. If land is available for big projects, the government will use it. Such projects will be beneficial for all, he added.

The Chief Minister made clear that the land acquired earlier was subjected to frequent enhancement, which was a burden on all. Therefore, the government is taking steps to take land for development projects only with the consent of farmers. In the meeting, the Chief Minister was informed that 100 to 200 acres of land can be taken with the consent of the farmers in many villages like Moosnauta, Ateli Begpur, Bihali, Khudana etc. of Mahendragarh district.

The Chief Minister asked the people's representatives to talk to the farmers about giving land voluntarily.

The Chief Minister stated that the CM window, Jan Samvad Portal for development works and Gram Darshan and Nagar Darshan Portals have been developed to address the problems of the people. It has also been decided to organize similar programmes for public representatives. This Jan samvad of the people's representatives has been successful. The way the ministers have held Samvad in the month of July. Similarly, the  MPs will also organise Samvad soon, he added.

The Chief Minister said that 9 committees of senior officers of different departments have been formed to hear the problems of the people's representatives of Tosham, Bhiwani, Loharu, Mahendragarh, Ateli, Nangal Chaudhary, Charkhi Dadri, Barhada of Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency. The people's representatives gave detailed information about the development works.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary, industries and Commerce Department, Sh. Anand Mohan Sharan, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department,  Sh. Anil Malik, Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Dr. G. Anupama, Chairman Power DISCOMs, Sh. P. K. Das remained present.
