Chandigarh, December 9: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the present state administration has established a transparent, simple, and honest system for providing corruption-free administration and facilitating easy service delivery. This system is accessible to everyone and has yielded positive results over the past nine years. There are no longer any intermediaries between the government and the citizen. After the implementation of systemic changes, citizens can now enjoy various government services from the comfort of their homes, he added.
The Chief Minister interacted directly with beneficiaries of various services through an audio conferencing program under the CM Ki Vishesh Charcha Programme here today.
The Chief Minister said that today is Anti-Corruption Day and that corruption is a societal evil. He highlighted that the administration has implemented numerous measures to combat it, but its eradication requires societal participation. He further stated that during the discussion, if any beneficiaries encountered difficulties accessing services, they should feel free to bring them to his attention. This will help identify areas for improvement in the system.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Mr. TVSN Prasad, Commissioner and Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Vikas Gupta, Director General of Police, Mr. Shatrujeet Kapur and Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. Mr. Saket Kumar were also present.
Moral Training through Mission Karmayogi Haryana:
The Chief Minister also spoke about the state government's initiative, Mission Karmayogi Haryana, aiming to improve the moral character of 3 lakh government employees through ethical training. He emphasized that while rules and punishments can deter corruption, lasting change requires strengthening moral character, values, and a sense of duty.
Parivar Pehchan Patra: Bridging the Gap:
Mr. Manohar Lal highlighted the crucial role of the Parivar Pehchan Patra in connecting citizens to the government. This single document serves as a gateway to various schemes and services. Additionally, birth and death data are automatically updated through the Parivar Pehchan Patra, which also houses information on education, skills, and unemployment of youth. This data reveals the economic and educational status of families, enabling the state government to identify and deliver benefits more effectively.
E-Registration System Streamlines Land Transactions:
The Chief Minister interacted with beneficiaries who recently registered their land, houses, and other properties. He expressed confidence that the e-registration system, which allows citizens to schedule appointments and register in any tehsil within their district, had provided a hassle-free experience.
Property ID Ensures Secure Ownership:
Mr. Manohar Lal acknowledged initial challenges faced during the implementation of the Property ID system but emphasized its long-term benefits. He addressed concerns raised by the opposition and stressed that such issues are expected during the adoption of any new initiative. The government addressed these challenges by organizing special camps and facilitating the issuance of Property ID cards. This unique ID provides complete security for property ownership, eliminating the possibility of fraudulent transfers.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Fulfills Dreams:
The Chief Minister congratulated beneficiaries who built their houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He said that the permanent houses provided to the citizens are a testament to the effective implementation of government schemes and their ability to reach intended beneficiaries. He said that 61,000 houses have been constructed in villages and cities under the scheme in Haryana, with a target of 97,000 houses. Mr. Manohar Lal said that families with an annual income of Rs. 1.80 lakh can now apply for a house under the Mukhya Mantri Shehri Awas Yojana.
He further said that obtaining commercial electricity connections and registering marriages has seamlessly transformed into user-friendly processes, courtesy of the convenience offered by online platforms. Additionally, issuing driving licenses and facilitating access to Right to Service Commission services have proven highly beneficial for citizens.
