Chandigarh, December 23 - Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal announced a budget of Rs 74 lakh for the development and beautification of Sannihit Sarovar. This allocation aims to revitalize Sannihit Sarovar, attracting more tourists to this sacred and ancient site, thereby increasing footfall.
Speaking at a programme organized under the aegis of Kurukshetra Development Board (KDB)and Shri Brahman and Tirthodhar Sabha at the International Gita Mahotsav-2023 Sarovar in Kurukshetra, Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal unveiled the statue of Maharishi Dadhichi, made by KDB at a cost of Rs 1 crore. Amid the chanting of mantras and the sound of conch shells on the holy festival of Gita Jayanti, he also donated a lamp in the pond. In this lamp donation programme, international patron of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Sh. Dinesh, MLA Subhash Sudha, BJP District President Ravi Batan, Chairman Dharamveer Mirzapur, and former MP Kailasho Saini also contributed lamps.
During the event, Shri Brahmin and patron of Tirthodhar Sabha Jai Narayan Sharma, Principal Shyam Sundar Tiwari, Principal General Secretary Rampal Sharma honored Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and MLA, Sh. Subhash Sudha by presenting them shawls and expressed gratitude for their donation of Rs 21 lakh to the institute.
The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal visited various organizations, including Shri Brahmin and Tirthodhar Sabha, Mehar Chand Mehndirata Memorial Trust, Mehar Book Depot, Shri Shiv Shakti Seva Mandal, Gayatri Parivar, Mrs. Jyoti Khandelpal, Child and Women Development Seva Samiti, Ancient Shri Durga Mata and Radha Krishna Temple, Brahmin Dharamshala, and Hostel.
Expressing gratitude to organizations like Purvanchal Chhat Puja, Humanist World Institute, etc., he highlighted the collaborative effort with these organizations for the spiritual development of Santhi Sarovar. The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal assured that any remaining development work for the beautification of the lake would be completed through MLA, Sh. Subhash Sudha, ensuring no shortage in the development of this lake.
The International Gita Mahotsav, celebrated on this holy land, has gained significant prominence, eagerly awaited in both the country and the world. The Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Shantanu Sharma, Superintendent of Police, Sh. Surinder Singh Bhoria, ADC, Sh. Akhil Pilani and other officials were present on this occasion.
